Berry Delicious Beet Superfood Smoothie

This smoothie is not only a powerhouse smoothie, jammed packed with incredible nutrients but it is also delicious and beautiful! This is a heart healthy and detoxifying smoothie

Several studies have shown where beets not only help improve blood pressure, but also have potent antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that battle free radical- and inflammation-related chronic diseases like heart disease, obesity, and possibly cancer.

Raspberries are not only an great anti-aging food, but extremely high in antioxidants, which can help  slow cancer growth by fighting the free radical molecules in your body. 

The lemon gives you a high dose of immune boosting vitamin C.

Avocados contain more potassium than bananas! Avocados and flax seeds and are loaded with heart healthy fats.

  • 1 small beet trimmed and peeled ((about 1 cup))
  • 1 small apple cored and chopped
  • 10-12 ounces unsweetened almond milk or water
  • 1/2-1 cup frozen or fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup fresh spinach
  • 1/2 small avocado
  • 1 teaspoon flax seeds
  • 1/2 juice fresh squeezed lemon
  • 5-6 ice cubes
  • optional unsweetened protein powder
  1. Roughly chop the beet and apple.

  2. Add all the ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. Add more liquid if you desire a thinner smoothie.

  3. Optional: sweeten with stevia
